Howdy! Welcome to the Lovelady Middle School English Language Arts Reading (ELAR) class webpage. My name is Mrs. Burleson. I am the 5th- and 6th-grade ELAR teacher.

I am excited for this school year and the privilege of teaching your child. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Before joining the education field, I was a professional writer, where I wrote and served as editor for various newspapers and magazines in Texas. I also freelance write for publications. I hope to share my love for reading and writing with your child and help them become the best readers and writers possible.

I have posted the TEKS for both 5th and 6th grade ELAR below. My conference period is 12:50-1:40 p.m. The best way to reach me is through ParentSquare.
